So here I am again, ranting about women and the place that they have in football. For the last week I have been enjoying the World Cup, it has been a great time for my life.
I used to think there were perks to women taking an interest in football. It meant that we could watch it together and there would be no bitching about me spending time watching football, as she would enjoy it too!
…How mistaken I was.
As addressed in the original ‘Women and Their Place in Football’ – comments should not be made; I expect women to sit silently whilst watching football because no matter how much they think they know, in actual reality, they know nothing. I am going to share with you guys a few of the stupid questions and statements I have been asked since the World Cup by women since the tournament began and what I was thinking (other than the general feeling of anger) when asked:
- Don’t you think is really good-looking?
- Do you really think I watch football to look out for potential men for my female friends to have a crush on?! Get outta here.
- Do you have to pay to be in the World Cup?
- …
- How many subs can you make?
- You clearly have no interest in football whatsoever if you are asking this. You just want to seem interested to get male attention. Go away.
- Why isn’t Zidane playing for France? Why is he in the crowd?
- This made me want to vomit.
- Why wasn’t there extra-time?
- This was after a group match game. Once again, I just don’t understand why God is torturing me with such imbeciles.
- Why is Adebayor a pundit instead of playing?
- …Well, at least she knows what a pundit is.
Women are souring the beauty of World Cup for all men globally if they persist in talking shit whilst football is on, rather than using Google. I thought getting rid of my Blackberry a couple months ago would help me avoid such idiot questions but, alas, they still find ways to ask me nonsense. Women if you are reading, please, take note.
Feel free to drop a comment below with some of the questions that you have been asked about football. As for the women who think they truly know about football (although I doubt you exist), let yourselves be known, drop a comment below on your thoughts of these women!

P.S. Do not ask what the scores are or who is playing. I assume that if you are asking me the scores, you are not with me meaning you are asking me via some sort of technology (e.g. mobile phone, internet). Instead of asking me, go to http://www.google.com, it may not have the answers to have everything but it will definitely tell you who is playing, what the scores are and (I can only hope) suggest something else for you to do whilst the World Cup is on so you can stop your attention-seeking.
