7 Tips to having a great day

1) HAVE A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP: Having a good day, all starts the night before. There are different guidelines on how much sleep one should have, but the mutual consensus is that sleeping too much or too little will ultimately leave you feeling lethargic. You know your body, so sleep enough.

2) BREAKFAST: Some say the most important meal of the day; we agree. Whether it’s a Full English, Continental or as simple as just cereal & toast, getting something decent down your stomach will give you the head start necessary and get your brain going.

3) GET OUT OF THE RIGHT SIDE OF BED: This one really is mindovamatta, bad thoughts will affect the way your environment treats you. So try and stay positive, thinking good thoughts in the morning are essential to having a good day. Try and remember the last time you had a good day which started on negative thoughts… My point exactly.

4) EXERCISE: If you haven’t tried it, do. Go for a quick 15 minute jog and do a couple squats before having a shower, It will make you feel like you can conquer everything. But if you’re going to do this, make sure you have breakfast, so as to replace energy you may have used up.

5) MUSIC: At this moment in time Drake – Closer is my favourite song to wake up to:

but whatever your taste in music, I strongly urge you to make a “morning playlist” consisting of feel good music. A good tune a day will keep the nasty thoughts at bay. (Look out for 7@7: 7 songs to wake up to)

6) CLOTHING: Think before you put on your clothes! If you wear a white shirt and a black bra, or a white shirt and no undergarments and it rains…you’re pretty much screwed. Screwed is not a good look. Taking that extra 2 minutes to check the weather forecast and dressing appropriately will avoid embarrassing situations of being too hot & sweaty, or scantily clad and cold. Moreover if you’re dressing for fashion, try and keep “comfort” in remembrance, your mood is affected by how you feel and how you look.

7) MORNING SEX: If you’re under 16 perhaps then perhaps this doesn’t apply to you…yet. Nonetheless, sex is a great way to get the endorphins aka the “happy hormones” flying around the brain and a great form of exercise to. If you’re unfortunate in the sense that you don’t wake up besides a partner don’t panic yet. If you’re a singleton and male you will undoubtedly be blessed with Morning Glory. Use it, that pre-brekkie erekie is god’s way of saying “have a nice day son”. If you’re female & single you’ll have to stick to the other 6 tips.

If your day has already started on the wrong foot then don’t worry, tomorrow is a new day, re-read these tips or dedicate them to memory and your mornings from now onwards are guaranteed to be great.

Good Day
